it's time. 7/6/2020

the words penned in Ecclesiastes 3 seem to be my life-song lately.

For everything:
Parenting.
The state of the world.
My marriage.
Church.
Friendships.
Teaching.
and now, baking.
God does this cool thing where he weaves this tapestry called life, and while we are called to be active participants, He’s the one with the grand plan.
my little bakery, Sonflower’s Table, has been a ministry. It’s a gifting, and it’s a way I can love and bless others with what He’s poured into me.
One of the other things that I can’t deny is God’s gifting in me is my heart for loving others- more specifically my heart for misunderstood and struggling kiddos.
God has been crafting this super cool thing over the last several years, and it seems to be working itself out; I was recently offered a position hand-crafted for me and designed with my heart for special needs babies in mind. The plan is for me to help kids and support teachers in a private school, and to share Christ AT SCHOOL- which is so cool!  I'll be praying with them, and helping to illuminate each of their Pathways as God leads us. Additionally, discussion is being held regarding the school's desire to have me fill the role as their AfterCare Director.
I will continue throughout the summer with orders already on the calendar, and I will take new orders through July 15th.
After mid-July, sft will move into primarily an event-based baking business, concentrating mainly on weddings. I will continue to fill special occasion cakes on an individual basis.
I’ve not gone, friends.
My table is still set, for friends and family, conversation, support, and so much love.

“Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.”
‭‭-Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3:11‬ ‭NLT
